Dear backers,

 We have great news, and we are excited to share them with you. 

Take a look at the first-ever SANDSARA coming directly from the production! 

Except for the wood frame, all components from this sample — from the thinnest washer to the large bed of sand — were made by the final suppliers using the final manufacturing methods.

Meaning all work we've been doing with our suppliers to perfect and adjust the manufacturing of each one of the components has turned out into this beautiful piece. 

Going from prototype to production is not a simple step; we've been working closely with each supplier to ensure they reach our high-quality standards and surpass your expectations.

About the wood frame, things are going well with the new factory. As we told you, this piece requires special attention. Fortunately, our wood partners have been working fast and carefully; they already delivered the first samples! And they are now working on the second samples with our feedback. We'll have good news about this soon. The moment we get them, we'll be able to confirm how the timeline is going to be now, but don't worry, everything is going smoothly, and it won't be long until you get your SANDSARA. 

Our design team has a surprise for you! 

Of course, you'll be able to customize the Aura Upgrade from your SANDSARA, but we are creating beautiful presets for you and they are amazing!

Dear backers,

Last week we received the email we hoped we wouldn't receive. Our main wood supplier was severely affected by COVID. One of his largest clients canceled a huge order, and they were forced to close their premises temporarily.

Considering the current global situation, we knew this was a possibility during production, so we doubled down and looked for backup suppliers for all the components and even third options for some of the most critical parts, so we are already working with a new supplier.

The wood ring holds all the pieces of SANDSARA together, and it requires us to work closely with the manufacturing team on the process and finish. We were pretty far along with our past supplier on this part, so this will set us back as we go through that process again with this new company.

Good news is the new supplier is responding very quickly to this project and they already started working on this. We'll send you photos as soon as we get them and keep you updated about the process.

Dear Backers,

The Surveys are ready! You'll receive an email with the subject: Response Needed -- Get your reward for SANDSARA. There you'll find a link that will take you to your survey.

In the survey you'll confirm what you've pledged for, pay for the shipping of your order, get more SANDSARAS or upgrade your pledge with our beautiful add ons!

Remember that when answering the survey, the add ons you selected in Indiegogo won't appear immediately. You'll be asked to select them again. But don't worry, they won't be charged twice. You'll also be able to add extra add ons like The Tempered Glass Cover, The Aura LED lights, The Elevation Stand or The Black Sand.

Once you finished confirming all the add ons you'll see in Backerkit a pending balance due to the shipping costs. For the shipping, we decided to look for the best shipping option and give a customized experience for each of you.

Dear backers, 

The surveys are almost here! Now you'll be able to confirm what you've pledged for, pay for the shipping of your order, get more SANDSARAS or upgrade your pledge with our beautiful add ons!  

In the next 10 days, you'll receive in your email a customized link to the BackerKit survey. Once you enter that link, you'll see the Sandsara you've chosen on Indiegogo, and you'll be able to add items like The Tempered Glass Cover, The Aura LED lights, The Elevation Stand or The Black Sand. If you already ordered any of those add ons in Indiegogo, you still have to select them on your survey to confirm them. 

Remember that Sandsara works with any voltage, and you'll be able to choose which outlet model you want to receive in the post-campaign survey. 

For the shipping, we decided to look for the best shipping option and give you a customized experience for each of you. 

For our backers from North America:

We will ship all your packages directly from our manufacturing facility to California; from there, about half of the orders will ship to our second US warehouse on the East Coast. Your order will be fulfilled from the warehouse that is closest to you. This way, we reduced the shipping cost significantly for you, and you'll receive your SANDSARA with fast and reliable service.

We'll distribute all our North American backers using this option, including Canada and Latin America.

For our backers from Europe:

Custom officers might give a hard time to products coming from outside the European Union, causing delays, increasing the duties costs, and complicating the process for you. So, we'll take care of that! We'll import everything to our partners' warehouse in Ireland. We'll take care of the clearance process, and then send it to you. The shipping price is slightly reduced, and the process will certainly be smoother for you.

The shipping charge of Backerkit already includes the VAT. This is important because it lets us keep it at a fixed rate. If we sent the packages directly from Asia to each backer, you would have to pay the VAT once it arrives in your country. Besides, the import charges are already covered by us on the port, so you'll receive your package as a shipment from within the EU, and won't have to pay any duty fee. This way, there won't be extra costs once you receive your order.

Another advantage is that all orders will be inspected once they arrive in Dublin so that the customs process will be much faster.

For our backers from Africa, Asia, and Oceania:

We wanted to offer the best option for all of you, so we decided to fulfill your orders from our warehouse in Hong Kong. This way, we can offer the best shipping price. Please note that depending on your country, your customs officers might charge importing taxes. 

Finally, here is a couple of FAQs regarding the surveys.

Can I change my address later?

Yes. After filling out the survey, you can go back and change your address as many times as you want until we close them. If you need to change it after that, just send us a message, and we'll help you update it. 

How can I access the survey?

You'll receive an email with the subject: Response Needed -- Get your reward for SANDSARA. There you'll find a link that will take you to your survey. If you don't find that link, please send us a message, and we'll re-send it.
